Editing and Sound on The Giver. (Research)

Editing and sound are used in films to create the tone/mood and the visual effects to make scenes flow better. From this chart I learned different from of editing most notably, how to transition. Our cuts from our draft are very simplistic and doesn't give any impact in-between scenes. The source also gave some insight on what we could do with sound to make it more impactful. We cant use the effects shown in The Giver because it doesn't fit in with our genre. For example the movie is recorded in black and white so the message that no one is different is expressed. Doing that in a comedy film would take away the bright light that represents the joyful mode the movie is supposed to have.
