First Draft of "Caught Up" (Production)

This is our first full draft of our movie. We plan on adding more scenes to replace the long establishing shots to better insert the genre (comedy). We also need to add 2 more scenes to better introduce the main character. I got to play the main character because I'm naturally fit for comedy. For our editing, we decided it would be best to keep it simple because editing doesn't dominate the movies in the comedy genre. Also since this is just the first draft we don't want to add too much that it would make our final product over 2 minutes.

To create comedy, in our movie we used a combination of dialogue and acting. We thought the best way to play out our comedy scene was to have a cartoon-like chase scene. To keep that essence, we decide to keep both the main character and the security guard in the frame. We used two pov shots to give the audience a better view of how silly the characters see each other. We chose to film at school because the courtyard provides a prop (the table) to use as a barrier between the two characters during the chase. On top of that, it was best to film when the sun was out because it would provide natural bright lights which are good for comedy films.
